The Water Polo Visual System (WVS), designed by Myrtha Pools in cooperation with Aqvatech Engineering, is a high level spectacular system that makes use of LED markings placed in the specific areas of waterpolo match rules inside and outside the pool. The LED markers update athletes, referees, judges, the audience and the television viewers on the progress of the game.
Currently the only lines marked in the water for the game are those that delineate the perimeter of the field of play, while the lines located at the 2 and 5 meter distance from the floating goals are identified by external features with specific colors (green and red).
Orange cones are positioned on the pool deck to correspond to each imaginary line to assist the judges in determining the position of the players and of the ball.
Lines market out by the WVS:
Line located 5m from the floating goal
Line located 2m from the floating goal
