On day 4 Olympics swimming competitions don’t stop amaze the audience and all the fans. An exciting show hit the scenes in the innovative pools signed by Myrtha at the Estadio Olimpico De Desportos Aquaticos

200 M Freestyle Male
Gold: Sun Yang – China

100 M Backstroke Female
Gold: Katinka Hosszú – Hungary

100 m breastroke female was the most anticipated final of day 4. The US swimmer Lilly King won the race, defeating the Russian athlet Julija Efimova and gaining the new Olympic record. «I showed that it is possible to compete and win being clean», explained Lilly King after the race. Efimova, has been just re-admitted to competitions after months of suspension because of a positive anti-doping test.

Success and medal for Italy as well: Federica Pellegrini conquered a third place in the 200 m freestyle semi-final, qualifying for the final, right after the world champion Katie Ledecky and the super-Sara Sjostrom.

Bronze: Federica Pellegrini – Italy
All the competitions of day 4 took place in the pools signed by Myrtha Pools at the Estádio Olimpico De Desportos Aquaticos.
The venue has been specially built for the Games and dedicated to swimming competitions and water polo final.
The Olympic stadium has been designed as a temporary building: it will be dismantled at the end of the event.
The 50m Myrtha pool is a temporary facility as well, installed just on the occasion of Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
