The continued collaboration between Myrtha Pools and Virgin Active Fitness Clubs added two new facilities to Myrtha Pools’ list of successes. This collaboration has, over the past years, brought Myrtha pools to some of the most prestigious Virgin Active Fitness Clubs worldwide; from Porto to Madrid, Granada, Sydney, Milano, Perugia and Brescia. The latest pools have been installed in Bangkok on the seventh floor of the Empire Tower.
While Myrtha Pools are one of the best solutions for elevated pools, due to the height and the structural features of the building, Myrtha had to come up with a special solution to make the two pools, a lap pool and spa, even lighter than they normally would be. In order to accomplish this, Myrtha designed and built a special steel structure for the pools to be installed on, eliminating the traditional concrete foundation and significantly reducing the weight of the pools.
Both Virgin Bangkok’s pools were been built using Myrtha Technology. They have white internal covering and Bisazza’s black mosaic tile finish, which conveys the prestige and elegance of the entire structure.
The lap pool measures 20×9.62m and is equipped with LED lighting and the exclusive Virtual Trainer system, designed by Myrtha Pools for training swimmers.
The spa measures 6.7×6.6m and features several accessories for wellness and hydro-massage, among which there are fountains, geysers and hydro-massage benches to give users periods of unforgettable relaxation.
