World Swimming Championships in Windsor: a thrilling beginning!

13th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) kicked-off yesterday, December 6, 2016 and since the very first competitions breathless emotions hit the scenes with Federica Pellegrini back on top in the 200m freestyle.

With an impressive time of 1’51 “73 her speed beat the favorite’s Katinka Hosszu and of course the speed of installation of the temporary pool signed by Myrtha: both huge prides 100% made in Italy!

In fact Myrtha Pools completed the pool home to the races in Windsor, at the WFCU Centre (Windsor Family Credit Union Centre), only in a few weeks, installing the tank on the hockey arena providing the millimetric accuracy required by the FINA regulations.

Pellegrini gold medal comes together to a silver won the women’s 4×100 free relay.

Among the athletes, one of the unexpected protagonist is Taehwan Park: the Korean swimmer comes from a troublesome year, just won the gold in the 400m men’s freestyle.
