
The 13th European Short Course Championship has been held from 10th to the 13th December in Istanbul, Turkey and Myrtha Pools has been once again chosen to provide the swimming pools.
The competitions have taken place in the Abdi İpekçi Arena which is one of the most prestigious multifunctional complexes in Istanbul. This indoor Arena can hold up to 12.500 people and it has been the site for various activities such as concerts, conventions, national and international sporting events like basketball or volleyball championships: on this particular occasion it has been the venue for the European Swimming Championships!
Myrtha Pools has placed 2 temporary pools:
- One 25 x 26 x 2h metre “Myrtha Overflow Classic Competition” pool - for the competitions;
- One 25 x 15 x 2h metre “Myrtha Overflow Classic Competition” warm-up pool.
The pools have been supplied with water filtration and disinfection plants.
Once the Championship is over, the temporary pools are been dismantled and will be transformed into a 51 x 26 x 2h metre Myrtha Overflow Classic Competition permanent pool equipped with 2 headwalls and a movable bulkhead.
