
Fifteen years later The World Swimming Championship return to Rome. The
XIII FINA World Championships were held July 17th through August 2nd,
2009 in Rome, Italy. The event was held on the tennis courts of the Foro
Italico by using temporary pools supplied by Myrtha Pools. With so many
Italian victories, the event was a great success for all of Italy. Even
with extreme hot temperatures, spectators enjoyed a world class venue
with the best athletes in the world.
As a sponsor and Official Partner of FINA, Myrtha Pools is excited to
have so many world records in their pools. Throughout the event staff of
Myrtha Pools welcomed aquatic professionals from all over the world for
private tours of the different venues used for the water polo
competitions (34x21x2) and also the synchronized swimming pools
(34x21x3) as well as the pools of Aquaniene. Everyone was very impressed
by the world renowned technology which Myrtha Pools is known for.
Another feature that was a great success during the Championships was
held in the Village Roma09 in the heart of Foro Italico. Myrtha supplied
a 20x8 swimming pool where more than 2000 youngsters enjoyed themselves
and challenged the results of their favorite athletes in “Challenge
Your Heroes”.
