This allows a single pool to be used safely for several activities at the same time as it can separate areas for swimming, teaching and diving. Myrtha bulkheads are constructed of stainless steel tubular profiles welded together. They are shipped in sections and installed on site. Anti-skid plastic slats of durable PVC cover the bulkhead. The slats are reinforced and connected by square stainless steel profiles, which can be easily fixed to the structural frame. A range of colours is available: white, pale grey or pale blue.
Special rounded PVC corners provide a smooth connection between horizontal and vertical walls giving a distinctive finish to the Myrtha bulkhead. The structure is supported by four stainless steel wheels (two at each end of the bulkhead) enabling it to be moved easily to its various positions within the pool. The wheels have a concave profile and move along stainless steel rails installed along the length of the pool. The bulkhead can be moved by one person at each side, at a speed of three metres per minute.
The movement of the bulkhead is obtained by means of two stainless steel wheels, similar to two helms, positioned at the end of the bulkhead and connected to the others by a patented “reduction” gear.
The bulkhead has a length equivalent to the width of the pool, a standard width of 110 cm, variable however according to requirements, and a minimum depth of 150 cm (of which 30 cm above water level). The depth is designed according to the outline of the pool, taking into consideration the local and international safety regulations.
Among the other equipments of the bulkhead there are a stainless steel safety hold, at water level, shaped like a common overflow gutter; the anchors for the floating lines, prearranged on both sides, and starting blocks, that can be easily installed.
