As per FINA regulations, all the competition pools with overflow gutter on four sides have to be supplied, on one of the short sides of the pool, with a headwall, 30 cm high above the water level.
Such wall is formed by a continuous footboard, with stainless steel structure and covered by a robust anti-slip ABS grating.
The headwalls supplies an ideal support for the time survey electronic plates, as well as for the starting blocks and the anchors of the floating lines. All the electric cables with the relevant prearranged connections are placed inside the gap that is created between the structure of the headwall and the pool deck.
The substructure structure is stainless steel and is built in sections which are usually the same as the lanes. Each section is supported at the front and rear: however, whereas the front is fixed by means of bolts onto a special anchoring plate inserted on the overflow gutter, the rear legs sit on the pool deck itself.
A strong ABS grid covers the vertical part of the headwall and the upper horizontal surface. The corners are also in ABS, and can be supplied in suitable contrasting colours.
Dimensions and colours
The wall is 30 cm higher than the water level, whereas the width of the structure may vary between 70 and 95 cm, according to the overflow gutter size, even if of particular dimensions.
The choice of colours available are: white, blue, pale blue, pale grey, dark grey.
