RenovAction Technology

RenovAction® is the patented and exclusive technology by Myrtha Pools, used for the renovation and the refurbishment of existing swimming pools. Process is based on Myrtha technology, and specifically developed for the refurbishment of existing pools. The renovation process may include the walls, the floor covering, and the overflow gutter separately or in combination. What is really remarkable, is that the renovation process often does not need any destructive intervention of the existing structure.

   THE WALLS of the existing pool are covered with modular panels of Myrtha
   stainless steel, laminated on the inner swimming pool face with a hard
   PVC surface.

   THE OVERFLOW GUTTER is constructed with the same material as the wall
   panels (Myrtha Inox). It is available in three standard versions, and if
   necessary, it may be also custom-designed.

  THE FLOOR can be lined a special reinforced PVC, laid on the concrete floor.
  It should not be confused or compared with traditional swimming pool liner;
  it is specially manufactured for commercial swimming pools. Smooth but not
   slippery, resistant to icing and to temperatures of up to 40° C, sanitised to
   prevent growth of algae and microbes, it complies with the most stringent
   requirements of swimming pool norms.

 
Almaty (Kazakhstan): an example of a competition pool refurbishment with RenovAction technology

 

In 1997 Almaty, ex-capital of Kazakhstan, was chosen to host the Central Asia Games. At the time, however, the swimming facilities of the local sports centre, that date back to 1960, had been closed for a long time for the impossibility to make them work, despite of repeated interventions to fix them.

The works of rehabilitation of the facilities were committed to Myrtha Pools that, in only 35 days, provided for the total renovation. Therefore, the external pool for competitions (50mx25mx2m) was completed: new water filtration, heating and disinfection systems, covering of the pool inside with Myrtha RenovAction stainless steel panels.

Near the renovated swimming pool there are the other two refurbished pools of the complex, an indoor 25 m one and the outdoor diving pool.
