2003 Hanoi - Competition pools in Hanoi Sports Complex
2003 Hanoi – Hanoi Sports ComplexSEA Games The 22nd edition of the SEA Games (South East Asian Games), the most important sporting event of the South-East of Asia, has taken place in December 2003 in Hanoi, Vietnam. For this occasion a complete swimming centre, the Hanoi Sports Complex, has been constructed from scratch and in a very short time. Up to a little more than one year ago, in fact, in the area where now the sports complex stands, there existed nothing else than marsh. Architectural structures and sports facilities have therefore been realized in record times, thanks to the strict collaboration between a team of Italian architects and the technical staff of Myrtha Pools, that has designed and realized the pools in which the competitions scheduled in the event calendar have taken place. There are three swimming pools, all of them realized according to Myrtha Stainless Steel Technology. The two main pools, one indoor and the other outdoor, are reserved to the swimming contests and are equipped with the most advanced competition accessories. The third tank, indoor, is a diving pool.
