Valencia 2000. Myrtha Pools have built the two swimming pools for the European Short Course Championships, which took place from 14 to 17 December 2000 at Palau Luis Puig Velodrome.
The pools, both built according to Myrtha modular technology, have been installed in the innermost area of the Velodrome, that is the one circumscribed by the track.
The larger pool, destined to the real competition, 25 x 21 x 2.30 m, was divided into eight competition lanes, with Ceramic/2 overflow gutter on the four sides and two removable headwalls, water filtration, recirculation and disinfection systems according to F.I.N.A. regulations.
The pools reserved to training was built with the same features as the main pool, but smaller: six lanes and 25 x 12 x 2.30 m. At the end of the Championships the two pools have been dismantled and they will be reassembled to form one only 50 x 21 m pool, permanently installed in Valencia.
