Water filtration and circulation systems are decisive for the correct use of the pool.
The water recycling system recycles water from the pool and conveys it for filtering, disinfecting and back to the pool.
Two main water circulation solutions exist: overflow or skimmer.
The pool water flows through the perimeter channel and pours into a tank, called “compensation tank”. From here, it is sucked up by the filtering system and conveyed to the pool. The overflow system has numerous advantages of a hygienic-functional nature . The quality of the water is much higher than in the skimmer system.
In fact, the most polluted layer of water is normally that on the surface. It is here that organic residues float and these should be removed as quickly as possible.
No better system exists than to continuously convey the water into the overflow gutter. The “mirror” effect which is achieved has a strong visual impact and the pool seems larger than it actually is. When swimming in the pool you have the feeling of being completely immersed in the surrounding environment, without any limits to your field of vision.
Furthermore,in the order of competition pools, it has been made compulsory because it absorbs better the wave created by the athletes, without any return, guaranteeing them better results.
Skimmers are openings located along the top edge of the pool. These receive the water and convey it to the sand filter.
Once disinfected, the water is again introduced into the pool through the supply inlets. It must be emphasised however that recycling is by means of the skimmers which must therefore be correctly positioned, while there must be enough of them to prevent any stagnant areas and the risk of leaves or other floating objects not being quickly removed from the water surface.
The skimmer system is a very easy system that, in the public order, can be used for communal and playing use pools.
