MYRTHA POOLS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Joint with the isthmus in the southern part of Brittany, Quiberon is a unique place where sea and nature are in harmony. In the east part, the peninsula is delimitated by the exceptional water of the Atlantic Ocean: the bay of Quiberon. In the west part you can find the beautiful landscapes of the wild coast, a real invitation to take a walk. Quiberon offers a typical Breton charm with its villages, harbors and megaliths.

In the context of this out of time scenery, Myrtha Pools has realized pools for everyone: the locals can engage with sport and swimming lessons, while the tourists can be entertained by other devices.

The very youngest can be entertained in a 22sqm pool with depth ranging from 20 to 30cm, a free-form area realized with Renovaction Technology supplied with geyser devices, overflow on all the curvilinear side and skimmer on the parts that border the external side.

Swimming lessons can be practised in a 100sqm pool made with Myrtha Technology, to be used even by disabled people thanks to a ramp that is connected to a big pool 25x10m with depth ranging from 0.75 to 2.00m. The pool is overflow with skimmer headwall. Between each pool there are several relax areas with cervical fountains and wall hydro massages and also training areas where you can swim counter current.

The structure has also been supplied with a fitness area that includes Turkish bath, sauna, solarium and a third hydro massage open air pool, a 37sqm pool with overflow Myrtha, RenovAction headwalls, hydro massage beds, wall hydro massage and supplied with a shutter device to cover the pool.
Many activities can be offered: baby-swim, swimming lessons, Aquaphobia, aqua gym, synchronized swimming.

Due to the importance of safeguarding the environment in which the structure has been created, the Council has asked that the construction should be realized compatible with the environment, especially in the choice of the material used. In fact the pools and the showers are heated through 140sqm of solar panels.
Water is treated with ozone that allows the water to refurbish in smaller quantities and also improves the quality of the air.
Sustainable development also guided the choice of steel for the pools instead of the traditional concrete: stainless steel has allowed faster production timing, and moreover, it is flexible in the movements of the frame and therefore immune from splitting. Considered to be noble material, its impact with environment is neutral otherwise than concrete products.
Innovative systems have been studied and realized to salvage and reutilize rainwater.
