After Quiberon, there is another project that has been realized always in Brittany, in the community of Lannion-Trégor. Also this project allows integration with the urban town and respect for the quality of the environment.
There are 750sqm of water, a 60m slide, hydro massage seats, geyser, a fast river, and a solarium … a great realization for a young community.
Developed with the collaboration of schools, associations and citizens, this structure allows everyone to enjoy water and satisfy various activities, from lessons, free time, and tourism and also sport.
We discover a 340sqm overflow pool for both learning and entertainment activities with a few skimmer sides, hydro massage areas, jets, beds and sport area; a 25m competition pool per 6 lanes; a 47sqm skimmer pool for children with a beach-entry and water toys: all realized with Myrtha Technology.
In addition a 60m slide 60m, fitness room and solarium.
The Park Nevez Sports facility is a symbol in the region and it is the second aquatic realization in Côtes d'Armor.
Opened in 2008 with present all authorities of the region and also Dominique Bahon, general secretary of the French Swimming Federation, it has been realized in approx. one year thanks to the effort of all authorities, the city, sponsors, partners together with the owners of the already existing facilities that helped during the opening and the following use of the structure.
In order to protect and respect the environment, Lannion-Trégor Community has decided to build pools in stainless steel, with Myrtha Technology by Myrtha Pools, to improve the overall comfort of the customer, but also to avoid possible problems with waterproofing.
Other important innovations have made this structure be in the forefront line: the use of wood to heat water and structure, process that is compatible with the medium-long term energy policies established by the Community, and the use of biguanide to disinfect the water (alternative system from chlorine used in France for public pools since 2007, but already used for private pools and public ones for over 30 years in many Countries, such as Canada, Belgium and Spain). This process has similar power than that one of chlorine but without the negative effects of smell and irritation; it offers a real comfort to both customers and employees, and limits the deterioration of the structure, avoiding the oxidation that chlorine usually causes on some materials.
