In June 2008, in Fécamp, French town situated in the north part of Normandy near the Channel, the new Centre Aquatique has been inaugurated following a project on the development of the territory brought forward by all the Councils in Valmont Canton.
Myrtha Pools has realized all the pools in the facility to welcome the needs of all different customers and offer them the best possible setting by supplying specific equipments: schools, families, people with handicaps, associations and athletes of all ages can utilize as much as one likes both sport equipments to learn to swim, and recreational equipments to play, relax and have fun. The architecture of the facility presents an ample window in the entrance that offers all visitors an overview of the different pools, which we will describe hereafter.
There is a big internal pool approved by Fina regulations, 25x21m x 3.5m depth with 8 lanes dedicated to swimming exercises and scuba activities. It is supplied with an inspection corridor and various windows for television shots.
Following there is a 200sqm pool for learning activities with a free-form side that closes two linear sides that delimitate a swimming area with three lanes.
Also a free-form recreational pool, with Overflow Structural technology with few skimmer areas for a total of 472sqm and 161m of perimeter. The shape of the pool recalls Sant Pierre et Miquelon Islands (French islands near Canada), with an internal and external area joint by a corridor and various water toys: hydro massage beds, benches, hydro massage jets, fountains, islands and a jet inlet that creates a river within the pool.
Last but not least, an internal 43sqm free-form baby pool, with Softwalk, a hedgehog fountain and water jets positioned within the overflow gutter.
In addition to the pools equipped with interactive water toys, there is also a 80m slide that ends directly in the pool, areas with saunas, Turkish baths and hydro massage, relax areas with benches, hot and cold showers and a zone for cardio-training.
