Removable headwalls

FINA regulations require competition pools with overflow on all four sides to have a platform 30 cm higher than the water level at both the start and turn ends of the pool. Myrtha’s solution for this condition is the development of removable headwalls.

This structure still allows for turbulent water to smoothly disperse into the rimflow gutter system on all four sides of the pool, while at the same time providing an ideal spot to anchor touch pads, starting blocks and lane lines with an absolute minimum of clutter.

Headwall Structure

Our Removable Headwall is a sturdy, stainless-steel structure and includes a supporting framework for the starting blocks. The full length of the headwall is composed of connected, modular sections that sit one section per lane.
The sections are secured by both a front support, fixed to an anchor plate inserted into the overflow gutter, and a back support, anchored to the pool deck.

For safety and longevity, the steel structure, including grids and corner-pieces, are coated in anti-slip ABS laminate that is stabilized to resist damage from UV rays.
