Dorchester Community Pool
Municipality of Thames Centre, Cananda-2020
Located just outside London Ontario, the facility featured an old 6 lane 25 metre pool built in 1976. The community wanted to upgrade the pool and make the tank more accessible for youth and seniors.
Myrtha Pools used its advanced RenovAction Technology, that allows the renovation of pools in a short time without invasive and costly demolitions. In addition, a section of the existing exterior pool wall was removed to make room for a 1.4m accessibility ramp and a finger wall.
Dorchester Community Centre features:
· RenovAction panels applied to the 6 lane 25m X 12.7m skimmer tank
· Installation of a new finger wall, safety railings and ramp
· Installation of a 4m spray feature along the ramp wall into the pool
· Softwalk installed to 1.5m depth
· 6 new starting blocks were installed
