174th World Record Set in a Myrtha pool
Big show on stage at the Paris La Défense Arena, but this time not a rugby match or concert. Yesterday, the 174th world record in a Myrtha pool was set on night 5 in Paris. Pan Zahnle of China set a new world record in the 100-meter freestyle, clocking in at 46.40 seconds. This achievement broke his previous record of 46.80 seconds, which he had set in February at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, also in a Myrtha pool.
After day 5 of swimming, 11 Olympic Records and 1 World Record have been set! With 4 more days of competition, there’s plenty more time for fast swimming in Paris’ record-breaking pool!
