Myrtha Pools in Abu Dhabi for the XV FINA World Swimming Championships

Abu Dhabi will be home to the XV FINA World Swimming Championships in December 2021. And Myrtha pools will be there! Originally planned for 2020, this year’s event will feature more than 1000 swimmers from around the world competing in 44 short-course (25 m) races. The pandemic deprived us of the event last year, but the new schedule will give us an exciting chance to see swimmers back in the pool following the Tokyo Summer Olympics. The two swimming pools to be used at the championships – one for competition and one for training – will be supplied and installed by Myrtha Pools. To be held at Abu Dhabi’s extraordinary Etihad Arena, Myrtha will help transform the modern events venue located in Yas Bay, into a beautiful aquatics competition stadium. Hosting of this event is a shining example Abu Dhabi’s position as a major centre for elite international sporting events.

Myrtha Pools is proud to, once again, partner with FINA to present a top international swimming event, where technology, precision and speed are essential elements of success. In addition to creating a great experience for fans in attendance at the arena, the XV FINA World Swimming Championships will be broadcast in more than 200 countries. The event will be an impressive showcase for the promotion of swimming, which has always been a shared objective of Myrtha Pools and FINA.
