Arlington ISD Natatorium

Texas

A few blocks from the home of the Dallas Cowboys, is the city of Arlington’s first natatorium that can host a multitude of aquatic events. The centre is part of the Arlington School District and, in addition to the swimming pool, includes a sports arena for basketball, volleyball, wrestling and gymnastics. For the new aquatic centre, Myrtha has manufactured the competition pool that can host swimming, water polo and diving events thanks to the two moveable bulkheads that allow the tank to be configured to multiple lengths. A grandstand with seating for 1,000 spectators was also built for competitions. The facility also has a separate Myrtha teaching pool with disability access and used for the Learn to Swim program of the elementary schools. Thanks to an agreement with the city, the centre is also accessible to citizens of Arlington outside of the hours it is used exclusively for the school.
