Complexe Nautique de la Source

Orléans, France

Myrtha Pools was selected for the renovation of the swimming pools at the Complexe Nautique de la Source in Orleans, France. While the beautiful and distinctive architecture of the centre has been maintained, the now obsolete concrete pools were in need of major structural work. Thanks to the Myrtha RenovAction technology, the tanks have been renovated and resized to better serve all age groups and levels. The core of the centre is the new Myrtha outdoor swimming pool, that can be accessed from the indoor section of the pool through a water channel, equipped with a moveable bulkhead, and open all year round thanks to the water temperature being kept at 28 degrees Celsius.

Inside, Myrtha has renovated the 25m eight-lane competition pool – equipped with a movable floor for Learn to Swim and a Virtual Trainer, an innovative LED system for training – and the multipurpose pool with an entrance ramp, swimming counter-current, and two cervical showers in the relaxation area. Thanks to these interventions, the Complexe Nautique de la Source is now one of the best equipped and modern centres in the region, for teaching, training and competing.
