ITC Colombo One Hotel & Residences

Colombo, Sri Lanka

WORK IN PROGRESS…

Situated spectacularly between the Indian Ocean on one side and Beira Lake on the other, the soon to be completed ITC Colombo One Hotel and Residences in Colombo, Sri Lanka is a breathtaking feat of engineering, architecture and luxury.

The two-tower complex features a 55-story residence and 33-story hotel connected (22 stories above ground!) by a 54-metre Sky Bridge featuring two Myrtha pools running the length of the bridge.

An engineering first, the 3000-tonne, 2-level Sky Bridge features, swimming, sunbathing, dining, and spectacular views and is sure to become an instant attraction in Colombo.

The choice of Myrtha Pools has contributed to the project’s success in many ways. Building two 35-metre free-form pools 100 metres in the sky was made possible thanks to Myrtha’s modular stainless-steel system. And our sustainable, engineered products and processes have contributed to the ITC Colombo One’s coveted LEED Platinum rating!

With the two suspended Myrtha pools as the focal point of a 40,000 sq. ft (3700 sq. m) leisure facilities, guests and residents in the towers will enjoy this once in the world experience.

DETAILS:

This project will feature two parallel 35m Myrtha pools on a 54m bridge.

The bridge will comprise of two levels (the pools on the top level and a restaurant below), across the 22nd floor connecting the two towers. The pools are a combination of 3 skimmer walls and one wall featuring cascade technology. The cascade wall will be regulated according to the movements of the bridge.
