“Swimming is a form of physical activity suitable for all ages, as every workout can turn into fun by including friends and family” With this in mind, Morristown Landing opened its doors in 2023, providing citizens of Tennessee with a centre of aquatic excellence, designed to engage the local population with both high-level excercise and play feautres. The result is a multifunctional facility that has among its attractions the aquatic centre, a structure that houses two vessels created by Myrtha Pools: a 10-lane 25 yard by 25 meter competition pool, including 1 meter diving boards and starting blocks, and a 2,000-square-foot leisure pool, that offers a grand diversity of fun options.
The technology allowing for all of this is the forward-thinking modular stainless-steel panel approach developed by Myrtha. This is enhanced by the inclusion of Softwalk bottom, a special pool floor composed of a soft mat placed on the bottom of the pool, below the PVC waterproofing, to make foot support more pleasant and safe, especially in the case of the leisure pool with its beach entry. Softwalk is also the perfect setting for water aerobics and aqua fitness classes. “We have a state-of-the-art swimming pool, an aquatic center with slides, we’ll be offering swimming lessons, state-of-the-art climbing facility, state-of-the-art fitness center, meeting spaces for the corporations and families to have celebrations” Steve Eaton, GM of the facility, said. “It touches so many different elements in the community.”
