Nassau County Aquatic Center
Built in 2017 for the Nassau County Aquatic Center in Long Island, the Freedom Pool is a pool that has made a name for itself since its opening. Thanks to two events held a few months after its inauguration in August 2017, everyone was able to witness the quality of Myrtha Pools’ facilities, which hosted Olympic medalists and future champions during the US Open and Speedo Junior Nationals.
This newly constructed 50-meter pool was designed for competition. Therefore, it could only be built using Myrtha Technology, which allows for modern facilities with its fast installation panels and PVC material that ensures water visibility and cleanliness.
The pool was enhanced with Myrtha Spectrum Hybrid Single-Post Starting Blocks, which assist athletes in their starts by providing a tilt closer to the natural position of the body. Finally, the pool can be used in both summer and winter, thanks to a retractable cover. This project aims to prioritize the youth and their future, with Myrtha as the protagonist due to its ability to deliver high-level projects while containing costs.
