Rijeka 2008, European Championships (25m)
From December 11th to 14th Rijeka hosted the 12th European Short Course Swimming Championships.
Once again, Myrtha Pools won fame along with medals and records broken by the swimmers!
Thanks to the well-known Myrtha Technology the use of which is becoming more and more required to grant the success of such international Big Sports Events, Myrtha Pools built the pools in this brand-new and high-class swimming center.
All the competitions took place in the 53 x 25 m pool, equipped with 2 movable bulkheads and transformed in a 25m-long pool just for the occasion.
Furthermore, the 25 x 10 m pool was used for warm-up sessions. This pool was installed near a 10 x 5 m pool partially built using RenovAction Technology.
It was a record edition both for the records broken during the competitions and also in the number of participating countries: 530 swimmers, from 40 of the 51 national member Federations of LEN, were present in Rijeka.
