Stade Nautique d’Antibes

Antibes, France

On the French Riviera, a few steps from the sea, stands the historic aquatic centre of Antibes. To renovate the Stade Nautique, the city of Antibes has invested in an important and cutting-edge project, choosing Myrtha Pools both for its technology and for its ability to comply with the BIM protocol.

Building Information Modeling is the digitalization process in the construction sector that allows for greater efficiency and greater control of timing and budget by the investor.
For the Stade Nautique Myrtha has renovated the existing swimming pool, the one closer to the building, and built a new 50m pool with complete project management in BIM, including supply and installation.

The centre, in addition to being used by the students of the schools of Antibes, is the home of the well-known club “Le Cercle des Nageurs d’Antibes”. A club famous for swimming, water polo and artistic swimming, a true forge of talents among which the Olympic medalist Alain Bernard, the world champion Franck Esposito and the Paralympic swimmer Elodie Lorandi stand out.

To continue the growth of first-class sportsmen, in the refurbished pool Myrtha has incorporated 16 portholes that allow the underwater monitoring of athletes during training: in this way it will be easier for the coaches to correct and perfect the movements of the champions of tomorrow.
Thanks to this intervention, the Stade Nautique is now one of the most important aquatic centres for training and competition in all of France.
