Tašmajdan Sports and Recreation Center

Belgrade, Serbia

The Tašmajdan Sports Centre in Belgrade was founded in 1958, and its storied past includes hosting the first Water Polo World Championships in 1973. Just this year, a new chapter was added with the help of Myrtha Pools. Thanks to the perfect combination of two exclusive technologies, Myrtha has completely renovated and redesigned the outdoor Olympic pool ensuring its ability to host competitions for years to come. Myrtha RenovAction technology allowed for a rapid, high-quality renovation of the pool’s old structure, while our new watertight Myrtha Skin lines its interior. This new Myrtha product, the result of studies carried out by our Research & Development team, has made possible to create, for the first time, a 100% stainless-steel Myrtha pool.

The Myrtha Skin provides a durable, white waterproof coating for the Tasmajdan Olympic pool, eliminating the corrosion and discoloration problems typical of welded steel pools and guaranteeing perfect clarity and visibility. The Tašmajdan Sports Centre, which also includes other sporting facilities, now boasts a state-of-the-art Olympic swimming pool for all of the surrounding community to enjoy.

In 2022, Myrtha Pools expanded the aquatic possibilities here thanks to two new pools. The outdoor aquatic area can now count on a leisure pool designed with Myrtha technology and enriched by the practical Myrtha Skin flooring, which is non-slip and perfect for the various uses of the vessel.

The second pool, on the other hand, was designed for younger children and was created with RenovAction technology. In addition to boasting a non-slip bottom, it was made with the Myrtha White membrane. By counteracting bacterial proliferation, this inclusion makes it possible to reduce the use of chemicals for disinfection, providing a healthier approach for children and their parents.
