Valencia 2000, European Short Course Swimming Championships
December 2000.
Two Myrtha swimming pools were built at Palau Luis Puig Velodrome for the European Short Course Championships. Both pools, built by using Myrtha modular technology, were installed in the inside area of the Velodrome, surrounded by the cycling track.
The main competition 8-lanes pool and the 6- lanes warm-up 25×21 m pool were equipped with two removable headwalls, water filtration, recirculation and disinfection systems, according to F.I.N.A. regulations.
Once the Championships finished, the two pools were dismantled and re-assembled in one 50 x 21 m pool, permanently installed in Valencia.
