Myrtha Pools to build 208 pools for Bentley Residences Miami

A new landmark is taking shape along one of the most iconic stretches of South Florida’s coastline. Bentley Residences Miami is a distinctive 62-storey tower with a faceted design which, once complete, will be the tallest residential building located on a beach in the United States. Almost all of its 216 residences will feature a swimming pool designed and built using Myrtha technology. Construction is already under way, with completion expected by mid-2028.

“Myrtha Pools is proud to have been chosen once again by Dezer Development and to be working with a prestigious brand such as Bentley on this extraordinary project,” says Roberto Colletto, CEO of Myrtha Pools. “Designing and supplying more than 200 pools within a single oceanfront tower is a clear demonstration of what our modular stainless-steel technology can achieve when height, precision and luxury must come together in perfect harmony.”

Bentley Residences Miami is being developed by Dezer Development in collaboration with Bentley Motors. The feature that has attracted international attention is the “Dezervator”, a lift that transports residents’ cars directly to their private garages on the upper floors. Less visible, but no less ambitious, is what lies beyond those garages, on the terraces of the luxury apartments: 208 pools designed and supplied by Myrtha Pools.

A project of this complexity calls for the involvement of partners with the highest level of expertise. Recreational Design & Construction, RDC Design Build, which has previously worked alongside Myrtha Pools on landmark projects including Porsche Design Tower, SLS Brickell and The Bristol, was therefore appointed as the development’s aquatic contractor.

“RDC and Myrtha have worked together for 33 years, delivering numerous landmark projects. Myrtha was the only possible choice for Bentley Residences, thanks to its combination of construction precision, proven technology, design excellence and engineering support, all of which results in a final product of superior quality,” says Joe Cerrone, President of Recreational Design & Construction.

Constructing more than 200 pools and ensuring complete waterproofing within a single tower, from the amenities level on the third floor to the penthouses on floors 60 and 61, represents a considerable engineering challenge, particularly in a building designed to withstand hurricane-force winds exceeding 200 km/h.

Traditional concrete pools are heavy, take longer to install and are difficult to adapt to varying depths. Myrtha’s modular stainless-steel technology was developed specifically to overcome these limitations, providing millimetre-level precision, reduced weight and faster installation, even on the highest floors.

This precision is reflected in the six different pool types planned for Bentley Residences, which will provide a combined water surface area of more than 3,600 square metres, an exceptional figure for a residential building.

The east- and west-facing residences will feature exclusive mirrored pool layouts designed to accommodate the reversed configuration of the floors. The north- and south-facing apartments will have a bespoke configuration, while the luxury penthouses will be completed with fully customised pools and hydromassage spas. On the third floor, residents will be able to step out from the bar and restaurant onto a terrace featuring an oasis-style pool, palm trees, a hydromassage spa and views over the ocean.

“The collaboration on Bentley Residences confirms Myrtha technology as a global benchmark in the design of rooftop pools for the hospitality and luxury real estate sectors,” says Mike Mintenko, Sales Director of Myrtha Pools USA. “We are delighted to be working once again with Recreational Design & Construction to push the boundaries of aquatic engineering and construction even further.”

Work is already under way, and construction of the tower is progressing rapidly. At the same time, Myrtha’s exclusive modular technology will take shape across the various terraces, with the delivery of 208 pools carefully coordinated with the progress of the building. This is not the first time Myrtha Pools has been selected for a project of this complexity, in Miami or elsewhere in the world. The Italian company also built all the pools at the nearby Porsche Design Tower, another landmark development by Dezer Development. Bentley Residences now represents the evolution of that project on an entirely new scale, with a contract worth approximately USD 9 million.

Bentley Residences Miami was designed by Sieger Suarez Architects, with interiors by Bentley Home Collection. Prices start at USD 5.8 million for city-facing residences and USD 8.85 million for those overlooking the ocean. Myrtha Pools technology is making this exceptional project possible, the same technology used at six editions of the Olympic Games and selected by some of the world’s most prestigious international hotel groups, including Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Four Seasons, Six Senses and Mandarin Oriental.
