In the town of Toruń, Poland, Myrtha Pools has created an extraordinary all-purpose aquatic centre, complete with swimming pools, diving tower, play zones, and wellness area.
Built to replace an outdated facility, the new centre was completed in partnership with the MD Polska architecture studio.
The centre, built in 2020 and opened in 2021, was designed to offer a single venue for competitive swimming, leisure, wellness and aquatic fun. In the centre’s main aquatic area on the first floor, Myrtha has designed a 6-lane, 25 m competition pool with removable headwall, Myrtha Track Start blocks, and a diving tower in the deep end! Ideal for competitions, the pool features a 300-seat grandstand for viewing. The leisure and play area includes a relaxation pool with adjustable depth bottom (adjustable from 3.5 m to 20 cm), geysers, hydromassage seats, cervical fountains, 60- and 90-meter slides, and a lazy river, all bathed in filtered natural light from the large window wall. And, near the leisure area, a Myrtha outdoor pool offers a chance for outdoor fun in the warmer months. The facility is completed by a spa and wellness area that includes sauna, steam bath, cold water bath and more!
