The Olympic Swim Trials in 2016 ended on July the 3rd in Omaha, Nebraska City.
The event represented for the over 1500 American athletes the last chance to win a spot in the US team that will access the long-awaited 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this August.
After eight days of tight competition at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha 47 athletes won the pass to the Rio Games and 30 of them will fly to the Olympics for the first time.
But for the new US Olympic Swim Team there is no time to relax: intensive training sessions are yet to come to improve more and compete at the highest levels at the upcoming Olympic Games.
To host competitions and training Trials Americans were two tanks built inside the CenturyLink Center in Omaha.
Two Myrtha pools featuring filtration system has been installed at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha to host both training sessions and competitions. Myrtha team completed the two pools in a record time of two weeks: an installation time ten times faster than the conventional methods of construction.
The pools, both temporary, will be dismantled shortly and reinstalled permanently in other venues.
The US Olympic Swim Team is now expected in Brazil in August, where together with many other worldwide athletes will contend the Olympic title in 18 Myrtha pools during the swimming competitions.
