Central Washington University, Ellensburg (WA)
Central Washington University, or CWU, is a public university located on a 380-acre campus in Ellensburg in the US state of Washington, about 110 miles (180 km) east of Seattle.
Founded in 1891, the university includes a Recreation Center, which offers a wide range of health and fitness options such as a 50-foot climbing wall, basketball and tennis courts, fitness areas, wellness area, a four-court gymnasium and much more.
The facility also includes an indoor pool -located in the CWU Aquatic Center- which has been renovated using the State-of-the-Art Myrtha Technology of Myrtha Pools.
This modular and lightweight system is adaptable to fit every type of pool project and suitable for both precise competitive situations as well as the most elaborate freeform pool design.
Unlike traditional constructions, a Myrtha Pool does not require a significant maintenance schedule. Sturdy, built to last, and not subject to dimensional variations: a Myrtha structure will not suffer cracks or be susceptible to leaks and is not affected by the aggressive action of chlorinated pool water.
The indoor pool is a multipurpose pool that measures 25 yds x 25 meters, (4-15 ft. Depth), and that is fitted with 10 lanes, lap swimming, stairs and recessed step, starting blocks, 3 and 1 meter springboards and water polo capabilities.
