Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre - ON
The Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre (WIATC) has recently been inaugurated in the city of Windsor, Canada. The center has been built with the aim to create a structure designed to host international swimming competitions as well as aquatic and training activities.
For those reasons the WIATC features a spectator seating area with a capacity of 900 people (reserved to competition events), recreational area, meeting rooms, fitness area, offices and rest stop.
Myrtha Pools installed 5 pools in the aquatic center using Myrtha technology. Among the pools is a competition pool that measures 71x25x2,0-5,2m and features two movable bulkheads and a movable floor. These features allow up to 9 different pool configurations to meet every competition and community need. The pool also includes a 5.2m depth diving area equipped with a dive tower with five platforms and springboards at different heights.
Myrtha Pools has also installed the pools for the recreation area which include a wave pool of 44x23m, a river of 44x16m, a splash-pad of 26x20m and an activity pool of 14×7,5m.
