In the heart of the Swiss Capriasca – in Tesserete, at an altitude of 550 meters – the Capriasca Sports Arena was built a few years ago to serve both the municipality itself and the Val Colla.
The centre offers ideal conditions throughout the year for sports, leisure, and recreation, surrounded by nature and a typical pre-Alpine environment that restores both body and mind. Inside the center, a large swimming area has been created, consisting of 3 interconnected pools forming a single spectacular 1,790 m² water surface: it is the largest pool in Europe, built using Myrtha technology by Myrtha Pools.
The large swimming area includes areas for disciplined swimming, recreation and leisure activities with the following features:
• 50 m Olympic swimming pool, depth 140 and 160 cm, 8 lanes, ideal for swimming and water activities
• leisure pool for games, with a large 3-lane slide, depth 120 cm
• island with hot tub for relaxation with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains
• children's pool (accompanied), depth 60 cm.
