July 1996. … Myrtha Pools adds another important success to its already rich prize-record: Atlanta 1996
After the Rome swimming pool in 1994, the Wien and Rio ones in 1995, the company builds a swimming pool (33 m x 25 yds x 2.2 m) at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, for the water polo competitions, on the occasion of the Centenary Olympic Games.The pool was completely self-supporting, basing on a sand floor covered by a reinforced PVC coating, and a perimeter curb to support the panels.The pool was installed in only 12 days and, at the end of the event, dismantled and permanently re-installed at Lake Highland Preparatory School in Florida, where a 50 m x 25 yds pool has been built.The Atlanta Olympic Games have definitively consecrated at world level the quality of Myrtha Technology also for temporary installations within official competitions.
