The project was carried out thanks to a partnership between British public and private bodies.
Built as a PFI project, the facility comprises classrooms, a 200 seat state of the art theatre for school and community use, a 594 sqm sports hall, gymnasium, sauna, and a 25m x 8.5m x (0.9m - 1.5m) competition pool. Rather than a traditional tiled and concrete structure, the pool shell is constructed using the Myrtha pre-engineered modular stainless steel system.
