This is a natural extension of her career in aquatics, which featured a long run with Spectrum in Shirley’s longtime hometown of Missoula, Montana. Having joined Myrtha in 2022, Shirley has helped develop a string of impressive projects on her turf, each the result of her knack for making and nurturing direct connections with all manner of folks in the aquatic construction world. Her expertise on the many options associated with Myrtha starting blocks makes Shirley a key resource internally, and she has helped make our quality accessories readily available to those who do not have a Myrtha pool but would still like to accent their facility with our world-class elements.
A lovely bonus in recent years has been watching Shirley follow the swim exploits of her daughter Katharine Berkoff, an NCAA champion, Olympic medalist and world champion in the 100-meter backstroke. When she’s not following international swim meets, Shirley keeps pace with her son’s far-flung work in the whitewater industry, a role that takes him from remote rivers to rugged destinations around the globe, most recently Chile, while her husband, Dave, provides a steady home base and trusted partner in all things life and travel.
