Austin Sport Academy

The Austin Aquatic & Sports Academy (AASA) opened its doors in the City of Austin, Texas, featuring a new state of the art 50m Myrtha Pool, built using Myrtha technology.

Designed to provide aspiring and elite athletes the opportunity to improve and expand their abilities in swimming and triathlon, the facility includes an outdoor competition pool, indoor training facility, outdoor training spaces, and an onsite running loop.

Head coach of the swim program at the AASA, is the multiple-time Olympic medalist Brendan Hansen. Hansen won six medals (three gold, one silver and two bronze) over the course of three Olympics — 2004, 2008 and 2012 — and set a series of world records in the breaststroke events during his career.
