Set in the middle of the town, the new Kirkby Leisure Centre contains a 25 m x 6 lane competition pool and a 13 m x 7.5 m learn-to-swim pool.
Other facilities include a 4 court badminton sports hall, 2 multi purpose sports halls, fitness suite, and training room, with a 6-lane running track and 2 fi ve-a-side soccer pitches externally. The pool structure was built using the pre-engineered stainless steel Myrtha system.
