Ljubljana University – Faculty of Sport

It is widely acknowledged that sports have a significant social impact. The availability of sports facilities is a key factor in enhancing community satisfaction.

It is often the case that public infrastructure, such as schools and universities, provides an optimal setting for the location of sports facilities and services that benefit the entire community.

The sports faculty of the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia provides an excellent case study. In 1997, Myrtha was commissioned to build a 25m indoor pool within the faculty. The installation of this pool had a positive impact on the local community from the outset, becoming a landmark for swimming, both competitive and amateur. The pool's versatility also makes it possible to use it for other aquatic disciplines, including diving, water polo, and synchronized swimming.
