In Dharwad, Karnataka, the new aquatic facility at NMDC Sports Complex replaces a swimming pool that had served the district for several years and had fallen into disrepair.
Built with Myrtha technology, the new pool gives local swimmers and the wider swimming community in Karnataka a venue designed to international standards.
At its center is a 50-meter competition pool with depths ranging from 1.2 to 5.2 meters, allowing it to accommodate both swimming and diving. A movable bulkhead supports a range of uses, from team training and diving practice to 50-meter competitions. A slip-resistant flooring in the shallow section provides added traction for learn-to-swim programs, supporting the facility’s use for community swimming as well as competition.
The Dharwad project complements Myrtha’s pool at Sports Complex Hubli, an Olympic-size facility that also accommodates swimming and diving. Together, the two projects reinforce Myrtha’s growing presence in Karnataka’s aquatic infrastructure.
