For the 22nd World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, the World Aquatics Championships Arena (WCH Arena) was built beside the National Stadium as the main stage for the event.
Myrtha Pools, a Global Partner of World Aquatics since 2009, supplied and installed the competition and warm-up pools. Two Olympic-size basins, each 50 metres long and three metres deep, were built: one for swimming and artistic swimming competitions and the other for warm-up. Using Myrtha’s modular stainless-steel technology, the structures delivered the accuracy required for elite sport together with the speed and flexibility needed for a temporary venue.

Sustainability
Sustainability played a central role in the project. Both pools were lined with the Myrtha R-Evolution membrane, produced from 60 per cent recycled material and fully recyclable at end of life. Certified by RecyClass, this innovation had already been showcased at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Compared with traditional construction methods, the system achieved a reduction of about 45 per cent in embodied CO² and contributed to international building standards such as LEED, BREEAM and Green Star.

Performance
Performance in the water was equally critical. Myrtha’s Strahlenturbulenz circulation system, based on the Venturi effect, ensured uniform flow and crystal-clear water, providing ideal conditions for athletes and for global broadcast coverage. With these installations, Singapore hosted a world-class aquatic arena that demonstrated engineering precision, environmental responsibility and the proven quality of Myrtha technology.
