David A. Doomey is a fixture for Myrtha Pools as an agent based in California, where he completed a distinguished 35-year career in education as a Deputy Superintendent before returning to the private sector. Among the many areas of expertise he developed in that education role were school facility design, planning and finance.His background has proven to be transformational for Myrtha, as Dave has helped organize uniquely effective delivery methods for those public entities interested in building great swimming pools. Additionally, Dave is a past chair of the CASH organization – the Coalition for Adequate School Housing – which serves almost 1,000 school districts in California along with various partners in the private sector.
Dave stays plugged into the school development scene by regularly attending various school facility conferences. While his technical background is impressive, with degrees in PE and business from Cal State Long Beach and a Master’s in Educational Administration from National University, Dave is perhaps best understood by his genuine love for people and the lively art of conversation. The president of David A. Doomey and Associates, a consulting company, he is also responsible for producing a most noteworthy asset to the Myrtha roster – his son, David W. Doomey, is also a key agent for the company based in California.
