Opening of De Montel Terme Milano with 10 Myrtha pools

Italy's largest urban thermal park: over 16,000 square metres with indoor and outdoor spa pools.

On March 28, the official inauguration of De Montel Terme Milano took place, marking the opening of Italy’s largest urban thermal park in the heart of Milan. From tomorrow, April 1, the centre officially will welcome visitors, offering a new landmark for wellness in the city. This project, led by Studio Marzorati and J+S, represents a significant architectural redevelopment of the historic Liberty-style stables, designed in the 1920s by architect Vietti Violi at the request of Giuseppe De Montel, an entrepreneur and horse racing enthusiast who contributed to the development of Milan’s sports facilities. After decades of abandonment, the discovery of thermal water has enabled the creation of an exceptional balneotherapy complex, thanks to the reopening of the pressurised artesian thermal well that reaches a depth of 396 metres.

A wellness oasis in Milan: "An example of how it is possible to combine the valorisation of historical heritage with the creation of spaces dedicated to wellness and relaxation"

Myrtha Pools designed and built all the aquatic areas, bringing cutting-edge technology to ensure design, functionality, and sustainability. The thermal complex features 10 pools, including 8 outdoor and 2 indoor, designed to offer a wide range of experiences: from relaxing whirlpool baths to those dedicated to sensory stimulation and physical well-being.

Every space has been carefully conceived to blend harmoniously with the architecture and provide an exclusive environment dedicated to relaxation.

"We are proud to have been involved in this extraordinary project", says Roberto Colletto, CEO of Myrtha Pools. "This project represents an example of how it is possible to combine the valorisation of historical heritage with the creation of spaces dedicated to wellness and relaxation. We have made our experience and passion available to create aquatic environments that perfectly complement the Art Nouveau architecture of the De Montel Stables".

Beyond the pools, De Montel Terme Milano includes saunas, relaxation areas, a bistro, and a lounge bar, creating a 360-degree wellness experience. With this project, Myrtha Pools has contributed innovative solutions while preserving the historical value of the site. A perfect blend of past and future for relaxation in the heart of the city.
