Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre (CRAC)

In New South Wales, Myrtha Pools contributed to the reopening of the historic Olympic Centre in Grafton, now redeveloped as the Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre.

Designed by Facility Design Group (FDG), the project responded to strong community demand following the facility’s closure in 2022. The new complex features a 50-metre outdoor competition pool designed for training and events. The pool is equipped with Myrtha Track Start starting blocks, spectator seating and an access ramp, enhancing inclusivity and ease of use for a wide range of swimmers. The indoor area includes a 25-metre pool, also fitted with starting blocks and an access ramp, further supporting accessibility within the facility.

Both pools were constructed using Myrtha modular technology, ensuring structural precision, durability and efficient installation while meeting the technical requirements of competitive swimming facilities. The centre is equipped with regenerative media filtration, a system that uses fine perlite-based media to achieve high filtration efficiency while reducing water and energy consumption during backwashing. This approach contributes to operational sustainability and consistent water quality management.
