Prince Alfred Park- Sydney, Australia

Just outside the center of Sydney, not far from busy Central Station, Prince Alfred Park is the ideal place to relax and recharge your batteries.

Steps away from the bustling city life, this oasis of tranquility offers large green areas where people can gather to chat, read a book or enjoy some sunshine in their leisure time. Recently upgraded with an eye on the environment, this historical park of Victorian origins now houses a modern Myrtha  swimming pool.

The former swimming pool, worn out by time, was removed from the center of the park, to give the landscape a fresher look. The new swimming pool, a 9 lanes,  50 mt long blue gem,  now offers a wide range of programs and classes for learning and workouts ; the pool is surrounded by several facilities such as a Cafe, a spray-park for the joy of children, spacious changing rooms with hot showers and a wooden  three-tiers grandstand shaded by rows of yellow umbrellas; people can sit there and enjoy a snack while watching swimmers in the pool water.  The adjacent lush green slope is also equipped with umbrellas to provide proper shelter from the heat.

Designed to meet the needs of all customers, the pool at Prince Alfred Park is the first in town fully accessible to all:  it includes in fact an access ramp to allow access to people with limited mobility; upon request the structure also provides wheelchairs for entry into the pool for those who have difficulties. Ideal for keeping fit or cooling off during the summer months, this pool is perfect even during the winter: thanks to the integrated heating system, water temperature can be kept at an ideal temperature which is perfect for swimming.
