Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC) features two Myrtha pools and is one of the most prestigious sport facilites of Peel’s Region in Western Australia.
Myrtha Pools played a primary role in the redevelopment of MARC providing an outdoor 50 m pool and refurbishing an indoor 25 m pool using Renovaction technology.
The new 50 m outdoor pool is equipped with a movable bulkhead to divide the pool in two separate areas so to allow different activities at the same time. Both pools include entry ramp to ensure accessibility for people with disability. The facility was built in 1982 and the refurbishment has recently been completed in 2015. The redevelopment now features a larger area for aquatic sports and brand-new spaces both for training and recreational swimming activities.
The new MARC provides a modern, integrated sporting, aquatic and recreational facility with an area three times bigger than the original.
