As a member of Myrtha Pools USA, the Design Engineer will be an integral part of design coordination for US projects, facilitating critical discussions with project design teams and counterparts in our Italian headquarters.
Location: Denver, CO with domestic and international (Italy) travel
Responsibilities and Duties
The Design Engineer will focus on the day-to-day coordination of the individual project(s) and tasks assigned to them by the Regional Design Manager. Such activities include but are not limited to the following:
> Coordinate drafting activities with HQ office (Italy) and assist in performing the drafting or drawing edits for US projects (CAD and Revit)
> Interpret client drawings and relate them to Myrtha standards of design for shop drawing development
> Support sales/technical staff by drafting creative Myrtha design solutions satisfying customer requests (using BlueBeam /Cad/Revit)
Role may develop to Project Design Engineer with the additional duties:
Lead the design process from kickoff to shop drawings approval and release to manufacturing
> Coordinate with trades (structural, mechanical, electrical, aquatic designers) and project key-players (pool contractor, sales manager, general contractor, developer) as needed to successfully consolidate the specifications and details of a Myrtha pool through design process.
> Assist sales staff with technical presentations (both remote and face to face)
> Coordinate with admin and sales to manage project timelines and client expectations
> Develop productive working relationships with industry partners such as aquatic design firms, architects and contractors
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should have a background and/or education in engineering, architecture or other applicable design field and should have practical knowledge of AutoCad and Revit.
Ideal applicants will have strong time management and communication skills and be comfortable working with evolving timelines, project parameters and structures.
The ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with fellow team members and industry partners is highly valued.
