A unique, first-of-its-kind, public-private partnership, the town of Mascouche, Quebec is home to the beautiful Complexe Aquatique Desjardins. A high-performance aquatic centre, it contains not one, not two, but three different Myrtha projects: a competition pool complete with our Track Start starting blocks; a community activity pool perfect for all ages; and (just for good measure) a beloved Myrtha splash pad. This beautiful centre is a hit with residents big and small, from competitive swimmers to those just there to have some fun in the pool.
The 8-lane, 25-metre competition pool – ideal for lap swimming – is a state-of-the-art, high-speed wonder. It perfectly combines the standard of competition-level training environment with an accessibility-focused ramp to help welcome community activities and lessons. The activity pool, with its reduced depth and length, allows for an even wider range of activities and programming, from aqua-fit classes to in-water therapy sessions. Together, the activity pool and its high-speed sibling form the perfect duo and provide space for community programming of any type!
And then… there’s the splash pad! Connected to the activity pool, with a beach-entry area to boot, it adds the perfect coup-de-grace to Quebec’s newest aquatic complex.
