Mauritius hosted the 10th edition of the Indian Ocean Island Games.
This multi-sports event spread out over ten days, is held every four years among athletes from the Indian Ocean islands: Mauritius, Seychelles, Comoros, Madagascar, Mayotte, Réunion and the Maldives.

 

For this occasion, Myrtha was chosen to provide two new 50m permanent pools.

The competition pool, equipped with Myrtha Track Start starting blocks and removable headwall, was the arena of the aquatic competitions; the warm-up pool hosted athletes’ training sessions.

 

The pools are part of the new Multisport complex Cote d’Or. A huge complex built specifically for the Indian Ocean Islands Games, designed to the highest international standards, which is expected to become a catalyst for sporting achievement across the country and to encourage people to be involved in sport, fitness, and healthy lifestyle programs.
